JADAS & cJADAS Tool Guide

This web application was created by Dr. Ahmed Omar for RheumGuide.ca (Version 1 – April 2025). It streamlines documentation and scoring of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) using JADAS and cJADAS across 10, 27, and 71 joint count formats.

How to Use

1. Select JADAS Mode: Choose from JADAS-10, -27, -71 or their cJADAS equivalents (no ESR).
2. Joint Entry: Use the joint diagram to select joint status:
   • 1 Click: Tender (Gray)
   • 2 Clicks: Swollen (Black)
   • 3 Clicks: Tender & Swollen (Red with checkered border)
   • 4 Clicks: Thickened only (Sky blue dashed border)
   • 5 Clicks: Tender & Thickened (Dark blue dashed border)
   • 6 Clicks: Clears joint

   Note: Hips and cervical spine can only be tender. Thickened joints are not counted but shown for documentation.

3. Patient Info: Enter name, DOB, date of visit. Age is calculated.
4. Global Assessments: Physician and Patient/Parent Global on a 0–10 scale.
5. Enter ESR: Only for JADAS modes. ESR is normalized automatically using the Consolaro et al. (2016) formula.
6. Results: Shows joint counts, distribution, ESR, JADAS or cJADAS score, interpretation.
7. Export: Copy text, download Excel, save annotated diagram, or export Word/PDF.
8. Reset: Clears all input.
